A Resort-Inspired Tropical Escape In a Semi-Detached Home

Designed for a family of three, this semi-detached home was thoughtfully reimagined with the goal of transforming it into a serene, resort-inspired retreat. To achieve this, we reconfigured the interior layout and refreshed the overall aesthetic, focusing on bright, airy spaces and natural materials that evoke a tropical atmosphere.

Taking full advantage of the home's soaring ceiling height in the main living area, we crafted a spacious, light-filled lounge that feels open yet relaxed.

The adjoining patio was extended to enhance the indoor-outdoor connection, with large windows framing views of lush greenery. Complementing the verdant outlook, we introduced rattan furniture and natural textures throughout, creating a calming and cohesive visual experience.

Just off the living space, the dining area is subtly carved out beside a custom-designed pantry, continuing the theme of organic materials and rattan accents. This seamless flow of design ensures a sense of warmth and unity throughout the home.

Adjacent to the main living room, a secondary lounge was transformed into a cosy play area for the family’s young child.

Positioned right next to the garden patio, this inviting space offers a quiet nook for reading, imaginative play, and enjoying nature.

The outdoor patio serves as an al fresco dining zone—perfect for family meals, weekend gatherings, or casual grill nights.

With its wooden decking and tranquil garden backdrop, the space provides a peaceful escape from the everyday hustle.

The bathrooms were completely overhauled with a clean, modern design in mind.

Each is styled to be minimalist and clutter-free, featuring blue granite tiles as a striking feature wall that adds a sense of depth and sophistication.

Ascending the staircase to the attic, you'll find a versatile entertainment lounge—a multi-functional space designed as a home theatre, karaoke room, bar, and open-air balcony.

This third hall offers ample room for family bonding and social gatherings. Curved walls paired with classic parquet flooring introduce architectural interest and a timeless, contemporary charm.
